i dont understand why UERM and DLSHSC are ranked above FEU-NRMF and CIM. The two latter schools preform FAR BETTER than UERM and DLSH. In the last 5 years, prc stats would tell you that in only one exam (august 2009) was UERM higher than FEU-NRMF, UE-92% and FEU-89%. The rest of the exams FEU-NRMF had higher passing rate. The other good school which is smaller in population than FEU-NRMF and UERM, Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM),performs exceptionally well in the board exam. Their rating in the past ten years has always been higher than that of UERM and FEU. In fact, its one of the centers of excellence by CHED. Its noteworthy to mention that FEU-NRMF was once recognized by DepED, Association of Philippine Medical Colleges and Philippine Board of Medical Education as a center of excellence in medical education. UERM HAS NEVER BEEN RECOGNIZED AS SUCH. Although, it has been recognized as a center of excellence in research by PCHRD, BUT, so is FEU-NRMF, UP and UST. So now, can we say that UERM is better than FEU-NRMF? I would rank the schools as: 1. UP CM (has always been better than the school in Espana), 2. UST, 3. CIM, 4. FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine and 5. UERMMMC

in real practice, it is up to the student what would he be after finishing his medicine. there are those who even graduated with honors in medicine but they do not do good in practice, so with those who are not so good when they were in college became the best in practice and even became good teachers. I am not saying that that is the trend. We in a medical center based practitioners dont look where a particular doctor graduated from because it doesnt make sense at all. I became a president of 2 highly prestigious medical society conferring specialty certificates to deserving fellows and residents and many great doctors does not necessariy came from UP, UST, UERM or FEU, etc. intellectual capacity rests solely on the student. I am not an honor student during my colleges days just like many of the doctors around but iam simply proud to say i have 6 specialty titles in my name. hard earned AND I'm respected of my capabilities and caapacity as a physician, just like many other colleagues from here and abroad, we have studied in the PHL medical schools and became highly succesful. Love all your schools here in thePHL, instead of making comparison and criticism why not just enroll where you want and then help it to grow to achieve excellence. thank you.
